Our story

Built from the community, for the community

The Rodrick Walker Foundation began with a simple conviction: talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. We close that gap with mentorship, movement, and consistent presence.

Mission

Uplifting youth. Supporting families. Strengthening communities.

The Rodrick Walker Foundation is committed to putting God's love into action by improving lives and strengthening communities. We strive to uplift underprivileged children by fostering integrity and leadership, support battered and abused women and children, and provide aid to the homeless and hungry. Through compassion and service, we also partner with and support a wide range of charitable causes to bring hope, healing, and lasting impact to those in need.

We create structured, high-quality programs — camps, training sessions, and outreach events — that give young people the discipline, confidence, and support network to succeed on and off the field.

Founder

Rodrick Walker

From Irving, Texas to the Forty Acres and beyond.

Rodrick Walker is a Dallas, Texas native who played running back at Irving Nimitz High School. After a dynamic prep career, he became the #2 overall recruit in the nation — even without playing his senior year after breaking his ankle on the first play of the first game.

He went on to play college football at the University of Texas, helping the Longhorns win two conference titles and leading the team in rushing his senior season. After college, Rodrick was projected as a 3rd–5th round NFL draft pick and later signed as a free agent. He served as President of the NFL Players Association for the San Antonio & Austin Chapters from 2018 to 2021, and was recently voted in by his NFL peers as Director of Community and Player Relations for the NFL Alumni Association’s Austin & South Texas chapter.

Rodrick actively promotes The Rodrick Walker Foundation and supports a wide range of charities. He organizes NFL youth football camps across Texas and in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and serves as a Brand Partner for LifeWave. When not hosting a camp, he’s training clients in speed and agility, and helping people live a better quality of life.
